Veterinarian
Hello! I’m Dr. Brooke Hoppe, and I joined Horizon Animal Hospital in March 2025. I was born in Houston, Texas, but grew up in Littleton, Colorado. I completed my undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder and took a year off to gain hands-on experience working as a technician assistant at Deer Creek Animal Hospital before attending veterinary school. I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and was fortunate to be accepted into the program on my first attempt.
After graduation, I moved to Arizona, where I have continued to grow my career in veterinary medicine. Horizon Animal Hospital is the third hospital I’ve worked at in Arizona, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a compassionate and dedicated team.
As you can see, I’m in our cat-only room; it’s my favorite space in the hospital! I’ve loved animals, especially cats, since childhood. Today, I share my home with two cats, one dog, my husband, and our kids. Veterinary medicine has always been my calling, and I’m grateful every day to live that dream.
What is your favorite part of veterinary medicine and being a veterinarian?
My favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is forming lasting bonds with my patients and their families. I’m especially passionate about preventive care and wellness, as well as feline medicine, dentistry, general surgery, internal medicine, and geriatric care. I am a member of the AVMA, AAHA, AAFP, and am a USDA-accredited veterinarian. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your furry family members here at Horizon Animal Hospital!
