Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

Devin was born in Riverside, California, and has lived in several places throughout the western United States, including Arizona, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. Although Arizona has been home for nearly 20 years, Idaho remains her favorite place she has lived.

Devin has always had a deep passion for animals. She began her career in human medicine as a CNA and later became an LPN while working toward her RN degree. After the birth of her son, she decided to follow her heart and transition into veterinary medicine — a decision she has never regretted.

Devin graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and has been certified ever since. She is also Fear Free Certified and has additional certifications in abdominal ultrasound and echocardiogram. Her special interests include anesthesia, analgesia, and surgery, with surgery being one of her greatest professional passions. Devin hopes to pursue advanced specialization in this area in the future.

Devin joined Horizon in November 2024 and is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. As Lead Technician, she brings experience, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient care to the team every day.

Outside of work, Devin enjoys exploring thrift and antique stores, collecting vinyl records, and spending time in record shops. She also plays the clarinet, violin, and viola. An outdoor enthusiast, she loves hiking, camping, fishing, and visiting national parks. Devin is also fascinated by outer space and the ocean and enjoys watching documentaries and learning as much as she can about both.

Devin is proud of her Hispanic heritage and comes from a large extended family that she loves visiting whenever possible. She is also a proud mother to a son who is preparing to start high school, and she is grateful that he still has plenty of love for his mom.
