Brooke was born and raised in Delaware and began her animal care career working with her county’s mounted patrol unit, along with serving as a therapeutic riding instructor through the TROT program. That experience provided hands-on opportunities with a wide range of species, including chickens, peacocks, donkeys, alpacas, goats, and many breeds of horses.
Driven by a passion for veterinary medicine, Brooke went on to study Animal Science at the University of Delaware, with a primary focus on bovine (cattle) care. After several years in veterinary medicine, she transitioned into human medicine, gaining additional clinical knowledge and experience that continues to strengthen her work in animal care today.
Brooke moved to Arizona out of a love for the Wild West. On most weekends, you’ll find her exploring abandoned ghost towns or relaxing at home with her two kitties, with plans to add more paws to the pack soon. She is excited to be part of the amazing team at Horizon Animal Hospital.
