Summer

Summer brings years of experience in veterinary medicine, along with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. She grew up on a farm in Michigan, where she spent her childhood around horses and other large animals. Her family handled much of their animals’ routine veterinary care themselves, giving Summer valuable hands-on experience from an early age.

She also spent many years showing horses and competing in rodeos. Those experiences helped shape her confidence, work ethic, and interest in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and animal care.

At home, Summer has a dog named Mac and a cat named Annabelle. When she is not caring for animals, she enjoys photography, traveling, trying new foods, spending time with friends, and getting lost in a good book.

Summer is excited to serve as Horizon’s Lead Boarding Attendant and looks forward to getting to know our clients and, of course, all of their pets. We are thrilled to have her experience, leadership, and love for animals on our team!
