Dr. Stephanie Nobrega joined the team at Horizon Animal Hospital
back in 2007. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Stephanie decided
it was time to experience the other extreme by moving to Arizona.
To further test her resolve she made this move in JULY! One of the
first emails we received after her arrival in Phoenix included the
comment "I can't believe the heat!!!" We will do our best to keep her
from melting.
After High School, Stephanie traveled from Alaska to Nashville,
Tennessee to attend Vanderbilt University. She received a Bachelors of
Science degree from Vanderbilt in 1999 and was subsequently accepted
into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in
Ithaca, New York.
Following her graduation from Cornell in 2004, Stephanie moved back to
Tennessee to work for 18 months at a small animal practice in Franklin
and then she joined a six doctor practice in Middletown, New Jersey
where she remained until joining Horizon. Dr. Nobrega’s special
interest include internal medicine and preventative health care.
Stephanie live is Phoenix with her husband Dr. Ale Aguirre and
there three dogs Baxter, Bailey and Birdie.
