Dr.
Heather Higgins graduated from Colorado State University's College of
Veterinary Medicine in May, 2006. As a native of Colorado Heather has
always lived where it snows, but she is not particularly fond of the
cold. After practicing for 12 months at a small, rural practice in
Firestone, Colorado, Heather decided it was time to move to Phoenix and
warm up!
Dr. Higgins joined Horizon Animal
Hospital in August, 2007. Her professional interests include internal
medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry and soft tissue surgery.
In her off hours Heather loves being outdoors hiking, running or
mountain biking. She currently lives in Phoenix with her two cats, Loki
and Angel and an Australian Shepherd mix named Marley.
